LCCC Kayaking Skills Clinic w Sage Donnelly (#2)
Instructor: Sage Donnelly
Date: Monday, March 27th
Back for a second year with the LCCC, Sage Donnelly will be teaching two kayak clinics this spring in the greater Portland or Hood River area.
Due to high demand, this course is a repeat of the clinic taught the previous day. It is best for people who routinely paddle Dodge to Oxbow, the Lower White Salmon, and/or Bob’s to Memaloose. It’s for those who generally stay in the main current, don’t often surf or play, and have a habit of sliding into the bottom of the eddy rather than charging across the top of the eddy line in fast moving water.
You might be working on your boof and sometimes running more challenging whitewater such as the Roaring River section of the Clackamas or Middle White Salmon or Lower Hood. You may tend to think of yourself as a Class III boater. Great! Expect to do Class III moves on Class II/II+ whitewater and to be offered the opportunity to challenge yourself in new ways on a familiar run.
