LCCC Refining the Basics Clinic w Luke Spencer
Instructor: Luke Spencer of Clackamas River Outfitters
Date: Sunday, June 18th
For hardshell kayakers and IKers who are comfortable on runs such as Bob's to Memaloose, the Lower White Salmon, and Dodge to Oxbow. A roll is not necessary, but a willingness to try to wait for a t-rescue is preferred. This course is a good fit for people who are just getting started and/or already have some boating experience but generally stay in the main current, don’t often surf or play, and have a habit of sliding into the bottom of the eddy rather than charging across the top of the eddy line in fast moving water.
Once students have registered for this course, you will be asked more about your specific learning objectives and the course will be tailored to student preferences. Generally you can expect to work on growing more confident in your ability to: maneuver your boat, catch eddies, and ferry across fast moving currents.
Maximum # of participants: 8
