We return every year to this delightful river. Nestled deep in the Cascade Range near Crater Lake, the “NUmp” at low water is a pool-drop whitewater playground. Club members who want to join, be sure to respond when the invitation email comes out!

We usually drive down on Friday. On Saturday we run from Boulder Flat to Horseshoe Bend, supposedly a Class 2 run though it pushes the upper edge of that rating. On Sunday we run Horseshoe to Gravel Bin which is Class 3 with one arguably Class 3+/4- rapid that would be really hard to portage. We will probably paddle on Friday too but the section is TBA.
