Boat Handling w Luke Spencer

This skill builder is for anyone who would like to continue to work on their boat handling skills. Do you consistently catch eddies? And you able to ferry reliably? When you find yourself off course, can you make adjustments on the fly? We’ll practice hard moves on easy water to increase your boat handling confidence. Expect to be on a Class II stretch of river.

Each paddler must have a full kit of proper equipment including the five essentials plus a drysuit, bomber footwear, full floatation in your boat, a whistle, rope and knife, and a lunch, of course.

Watch for an email via the Club’s Google Group for signups closer to the date.

This skill builder trip is a good option for a relatively new or still slightly tentative paddler, or for someone who hasn’t been in their boat in a long time. Come dust off the cobwebs with one of the PNW’s finest paddling instructors! This skill builder will help you lock in key skills to make your paddling more enjoyable and more predictable.
