LCCC Beginning Canoe Two-Day Clinic

Instructor: Club member Alyse Oxenford, an ACA-certified whitewater canoe instructor

Date: Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11

This two-day clinic will have a flatwater and a moving water day. We’ll teach the basics of canoeing, starting with strokes and basic boat-handling, and progress to maneuvering in river current. Students will be paired up in tandem canoes to learn the basics. Followup classes will be offered to teach solo paddling skills. 

As an added bonus for those just starting to canoe, the LCCC has several tandem loaner canoes to help you get into this fun sport!
